Now is the perfect time to mulch your gardens! Mulching will beautify your gardens and also assist with water conservation. Did you know that mulch stops the soil drying out, keeps the soil moist and can reduce your watering by about 60%? Yes, it does!

Here are the 3 mulches we most commonly use:-

Black Mulch – Crushed bark and wood waste are blended and then coloured. The colourants used are highly resistant to UV fading.

Karri and Peat – Cushed jarrah and karri bark, blended with peat

Mushroom Compost – A blend of straw, liquid manure, sawdust, mushroom farm compost. Mushroom Compost is ideal for growing vegetables and other plants that require a high level of nutrients. It has the most nutrients in it for your landscaping needs!

Spring has almost sprung! If you haven’t already, now is the time to give your rose bushes a prune to encourage a fabulous bloom in the warmer months. After pruning, the garden will love a feed with dynamic lifter. This will give a slow release feed and condition the soil.

Want to get out in the garden during Autumn? Here’s a few tips…

• Aerate your lawns

• Fertilise and revitalize your lawns before the onset of winter

• Time to plant! The sun isn’t so fierce, the soil is still warm and plants have a chance to settle in before winter

• Once the weather has cooled right off, take all your indoor plants outdoors for a breath of fresh air!

• Keep up mowing of the lawns even though the growth will start slowing down as the weather cools

• Trim your hedges before winter sets in to keep them compact and and bushy from ground level

• Mulch mulch mulch to keep weeds at bay and moisture in the soil
