Winter arrived late, but fair to say, has overstayed its welcome!
Tips for Spring Gardening:
1. Refresh the soil in your garden beds. Manure, compost or wetting agent – whatever you choice do it in preparation to freshen up the beds of nutrients.
2. Repot pot plants or add some potting mix to the soil. Leading into spring is the best time to do this. Trim as required now as well.
3. Check your mulch. If less then 5cm it’s best to be topped up now.
4. Fertilise citrus trees – this will help them to continue to flower and produce fruit.
5. Check your lawns. Top dress with a compost and sand based soil blend – mow it short to get all the good stuff into the subsoil.
6. Protect your rose leaves from fungal disease with a preventative spray.
